Create Perfect Passport and Visa Photos Online

This tool helps you crop your photo to the correct size for passport, visa and ID card applications in many countries around the world.

You can easily prepare photos for:

• USA passport and visa
• European Union passport and ID card
• Schengen visa
• China passport
• Japan passport
• India passport
• UK passport
• And many other international standards

Simply upload your photo, choose the document type, and adjust the position and zoom. The tool will automatically crop your image to match the official size requirements.

If your country or document is not listed, you can also enter a custom size in inches, centimeters or millimeters.

How to Use the ID Photo Cropper

Follow these simple steps to create a correctly sized photo for your passport, visa or ID card.

1. Select the Document Type

At the top of the page, choose the type of photo you need from the “Select Photo Type” menu.

Available presets include:

• US Passport (2×2 inches)
• US Visa (2×2 inches)
• EU Passport (35×45 mm)
• EU ID Card (35×45 mm)
• UK Passport
• Schengen Visa
• India Passport
• China Passport
• Japan Passport

Each preset automatically applies the official photo size for that document.

⚠️ Always verify the exact requirements with your local authorities before submitting your photo.

2. Use a Custom Size (Optional)

If your document is not listed, select “Custom Size”.

You can then:

• Enter the width
• Enter the height
• Choose the unit: inches, centimeters, or millimeters

The crop area will update automatically using your custom dimensions.

3. Upload Your Photo

Click the “Upload Photo” button and select an image from your device.

Supported formats: any standard image file (JPG, PNG, etc.).

After uploading:

• The cropping area appears
• Alignment guides are shown to help you position your face correctly

4. Position and Zoom Your Photo

Use the mouse or touch controls to adjust your photo:

• Drag the image to move it
• Scroll wheel (or pinch on mobile) to zoom in or out

On the screen you will see helpful guides:

• Head top line
• Eye level line
• Chin line
• Center crosshair
• A silhouette showing the ideal head and shoulder position

These guides help you meet common passport photo rules, such as:

• Head centered
• Eyes at the correct height
• Face occupying the correct proportion of the image

5. Confirm the Crop

When you are satisfied with the position:

• Click “OK”

This will:

• Remove the guides
• Lock the crop area
• Show the file name and save options

If you want to adjust again, click “Reposition” to return to editing mode.

6. Choose a File Name (Optional)

In the Filename field, you can:

• Enter a custom file name
• Or leave it empty to use an automatic name with date and time

The image will be saved as a JPEG file.

7. Save Your Photo

Click “Save as JPEG” to download your cropped photo to your device.

The file will be ready to print or upload for your passport, visa or ID application.
